TurF approached Palms Creative to make their entire brand experience from logo to digital presence. They were a collection of exercise enthusiasts looking to start the next big thing in the Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver. As we went through the branding process and identified their target market we realized the business relied heavily on the Instagram following of the women and it would be a major component of the brand moving forward.
Journey Frameworks Point to Mobile
To fully understand the user journeys to and from the platform we created journey frameworks for some of the potential customers of TurF. After sharing them with the client it became clear that the vast majority of the customers would be coming to the site on mobile. We decided to push forward with a truly mobile first design. As the wireframes and prototype developed we would show the client by linking to it from an instagram page in order to frame the experience correctly.
TurF’s digital platform conveys their culture while allowing users to easily book classes, order food and shop. We focused on user experience and interface design to build individual components that combine to create an intelligent system. The mobile-first swipe nav intuitively and naturally guides users through TurF.
